Deathly Arms Final Forms

This piece recieved alot of good feedback from classmates, professors, the higher ups and here and there strangers. It was probally the longest and most painful process I have ever pushed myself into but the results were worth it. Four of the pieces were shown for a short time in the student union art gallery. Strange enough, even though the arms may apear to have alot of ancient history and worldwide issues behind them such as "genocide, pompei, death camps" I only played a minor part in the process. It was a different way of working where I let my body do the story-telling instead of thinking of a story to tell.
Whether left or right, my arms have been an unusual element and powerful ally in my growth and esablishment as a Universal Artist. These clay forms were torn as if flesh from my own arms and with that it inherited some of that history and story. The cuts and bruises and cracks and ashyness are as real and figurative on my arms as they are on their clay counterparts. Often times, the hands of an artist are the only proof of our hard-work and self determination, this is what we do.
